So on the last post we have put forward this serious question, “Have human beings stopped evolving?”.
This was also discussed by Dr. Michio Kaku in the Big Think series. You can watch the video here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?sns=fb&v=UkuCtIko798
We know that it was the curious and highly inquisitive nature of humans that separated us from other beings. In the past this nature highly flourished throughout our struggle, but now things have changed we have grown more powerful than ever and is practically free of any natural predators other than ourself.
Even though having no predators seems to be a good thing, what it has done to human evolution is daunting because being void of any natural predators means approaching a standstill in the evolutionary timeline. As it is the threats faced by a species that make them adapt, which in turn stimulates evolution, a species which is capable of adapting to any conditions of an environment need not necessarily take part in the process of evolution untill it stumbles upon a greater threat or a serious predator.
But for us humans who have conquered the whole of earth the next big predator may not be from land, sea or air but from outer space!
